Bridgett M. Battles

Rachel grew up in a Quaker family in New Jersey, attending Princeton Friends Monthly Meeting. After graduating from a Quaker high school and earning a BA in Religion from Swarthmore College, she worked for more than a decade in a variety of leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, including strategic planning, program evaluation, organizational learning and change management, fundraising, and business development. Rachel currently works as a Human Services Strategy Analyst for Mathematica, an international policy research and evaluation firm, providing impact and strategy advising for programs serving children, youth, and families.

Rachel holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and certifications in nonprofit fundraising and human-centered design. In addition to serving on the Interfaith Philadelphia board, she serves on the board of Lifecycle WomanCare in Bryn Mawr, PA. Outside of work and service, Rachel enjoys detective stories, cooking, Scrabble, crossword puzzles, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
